Welcome to VTSFFC
VTSFFC, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Club at Virginia Tech
Welcome to VTSFFC, the Science Fiction and Fantasy Club at Virginia Tech.
Who are we?
We are a group composed of Virginia Tech students, staff, and alumni who love science fiction and fantasy. Founded in 1982, VTSFFC has grown over the years to become the powerhouse it is today. We are artists, writers, geeks -- people of many talents find their way to us.
If you want to become a member of VTSFFC, just show up to our meetings (every Thursday at 7:30 PM in Randolph 209) or to one of our many events listed in our events section.
What do we want?
To take over the world, of course. We have a good start...many of our alumni are all over the country. Your next door neighbor could be a VTSFFCer. We are everywhere. Fnord.
Oh, we also want to spread the love of sci-fi and fantasy around. We do this through our events. Our biggest is Technicon, a convention where we spend the weekend with a bunch of writers and artists and have a good time. It usually takes place in early April.
We also have many other events, particularly during the fall when we try to get fresh me--er, new members. Check the Events section for more details.
Another thing we've started doing recently is coming out with reviews of movies, books, TV series, and games in Sci-fi and Fantasy. See the soon to be released Reviews section for more.
VTSFFC also has an Amazon store, it's a great way to kick a little money to the club. You'll note Amazon books in the left hand column that have been recommended by members.
Who do we Trust?
Our fine collection of leaders. Handpicked men and women, tops in their fields, ready to deploy at a moments notice. Fnord.
Who do we Serve?
Why, you, the Science Fiction and Fantasy fan... In fact, we have a book, entitled To Serve Fans. Come be served...
Where are we going?
Hopefully to a VTSFFC meeting or event.
Enjoy the site, and we hope you'll join us!
